In the 1980s, a young photographer just 16 years old, Sergio Siano with his camera began to tell about Diego’s endeavours, and followed him on the sidelines and around the city, avoiding folkloristic and obvious images. His photographs create a narrative similar to a cinematic tale.
The “Pibe de Oro”, a symbol of the Neapolitans’ revenge, led the team and the city towards a global rebirth, always with a thousand contradictions, but giving birth to this endless love story. And now with these new shots, he still tells this love, stronger and more visible everywhere and above all in the hearts of the people, even those who have not lived the years of Maradona.
